The Resurrection of My Soul
is my journey through a mental illness that exposed the dark demons of my soul
This book is not for the faint of heart, not because of blood and gore, but because it reveals the deepest and darkest corners of life. It's a story about profound truths that nobody wants to talk about because they hit a space in our soul, that has been walled off with strong defense mechanisms. Some defense mechanisms are common, like denial and deflection, but others, like mine, split personalities. This is a journey of oneness because I've traveled this road alone. Though I've had people in my life, I've never had anyone who understood me, or supported my beliefs. Nine simple, but life changing words, brought down my wall. There is strong content in the book because it is full of very deep and powerful emotions, but there are also some funny stories, and tales of self discovery. There's not a dull moment in this book!
Chapter 1. "The Two Faces of Me," describes my mental illness, and how I not only overcame that illness all on my own, but evolved psychologically, emotionally, and spiritually, because of it.
Chapter 2. "I Remember," describes fragments of my past that I can remember and have had life changing effects on me.
Chapter 3. "Dreamtime," describes some extremely dark and powerful nightmares I've had that shook me to my very core.
Chapter 4. "Just a Job? Maybe/Maybe Not," describes all the jobs I've had since I was twelve years old, and how they helped shape me into the person I am today.
Chapter 5. "MM's," describes multiple Medical Malpractice events that have harmed me and my loved ones, including the Medical Murder of my own precious mother.
Chapter 6. "Broken Bones," describes the unusual circumstances that led to me breaking bones, and tearing ligaments.
Chapter 7. "Krysthla's Loving Touch," describes Mother Nature's natural remedies that have healed me from injuries and illnesses to cancer.
Chapter 8. "The Friendly Car," describes how cars have arrived in my life at the exact moment when needed, and even saved my life from what should've been a fatal car wreck.
Chapter 9. "Mingle with Singles," describes a meetup website that has provided me with a constant flow of events where I can connect with people and discover myself.
Chapter 10. "Mind of Mushrooms," describes two journeys into the depths of Hell, giving me the courage and strength to face the darkest of demons.
Chapter 11. "The Ultimate Awakening," exposes the dark shadows of my soul, and the realization that I am good enough!
About the Author
I am so honored that you are here to learn about my life. My name is Trish Harmon and I live in Texas. I am a mother of four, grandmother of eight, and a Registered Nurse for forty years, but more importantly, I'm someone who wants to bring light and love to as many people as I can, and help heal our world!
I dedicate this book to every single person, and pet, that has entered my life, because it was all the lessons I learned from them, that helped me evolve into the amazing person I am today.
Every trauma I've endured, I grew stronger. Every disappointment I felt, I developed more insight. Every obstacle I overcame, showed me a new way. Every heartbreak I recovered from, made my heart grow deeper. Every dark shadow I faced, mirrored myself in others. Every horrifying nightmare, made me face my darkest foes. Every rejection that fostered self-doubt, made me believe that I am good enough!
I have no regrets, only a deep appreciation for being alive, and receiving constant opportunities to expand my consciousness, by becoming more in my body and sharing my love with all life!

The Calling Of A Soul
I knew the day I saw you staring out the window on your first day of birth, when I called out your name and you looked into my soul that you were of great worth.
I felt your love of life when I held you in my arms and kissed you on the cheek, and envisioned that one day your powers of love and truth would lead us into peace.
I sensed your bond with the Universe all life above and below, when the songs of nature and a loving voice would calm your strongest woes.
No matter where you go people sense your presence and smile when they see your face, and I know deep down you represent hope and will be our saving grace.
One day you'll understand the true calling of your soul and know what you need to do, to bring our dreams to fruition by living life that's strong and true.
My Lifelong Friend
Though we met in times of strife, you gave much meaning to my life, and I knew I'd found my lifelong friend. Cos when I held your hand in mine, I felt a love that lasts all time, which built our bond that has no end.
Your beautifully round and innocent eyes, gave me this peaceful calm inside, and a sense that all the world was right. You always had a smile for me, though you were sick and in much need, you glowed with God's unyeilding light.
Your spirit so strong, courageous and free, taught me to live past physical needs, and never give up on reaching my dreams. I know in my heart, my soul, and my mind, that we'll meet again in a future time, and frolic in the waters of God's holy streams.
You cared for your children the best you could, found your true love and grandbabies you'd hold, and families like that stay together. Many have loved you and many you've loved, for your love is as pure as the dove up above, and will live in our hearts forever.

My ZU Zu
Zu Zu was my favorite color green with my favorite number 13 on her odometer when I first sat in her seat. Her resilience inspired me.

Hailey was a salvage car because of hail damage but she was a strong and fast car and served me well for several years

Pepe came to me from the oil fields. His interior was covered with filth and oil and he stunck but the strength of his frame saved my life.

Betty White was picked out by my husband and youngest daughter and she moved with grace until she smashed into two large deer.

Tim Timothy was a special car. I always felf calm and protected in him because he always alerted the deer, until a man ran into the back of us.

Every place of employment has enriched my life by learning the best ways to care for others, and learn about their diseases and disorders so I can properly teach them. I am deeply grateful for every job I've ever had, and the numerous lives I've been given the grace to touch.
My first job as an RN taught me how to care for multiple trauma patients and inspired me to learn more about long term head injuries
My job in rehabilitation that allowed me to teach patients, who had given up hope, independence with their ADLS and to manage their emotions
My job that had multiple roles. I was charge nurse on Med-Surg, Labor and Delivery and newborn nurse and relief nurse for ER and surgery
My job at the State Hospital taught me how to manage aggressive behavior and help patients to talk about their emotions and what triggers them
My job that taught me about Hyperbarics and the incredible healing of chronic wounds. I also became certified in Hyperbarics
My job that taught me calmness and patience needed to bring confort and security to pediatric patients and people who were terrified of MRI's
My job on a long-term brain injury unit taught me how to address their individual needs and took them all to the zoo
My job that taught me a great deal about liver and kidney transplants and their special needs. The transplant team rounded together
